AITP Region 18 Leadership Retreat:
On November 19, La Roche AITP members: Kushtrim
Kuqi, Divine Muhivuwomunda, Mohammed Al-Kuhlani and Shadi Radman, and
Professor Leland M. McCauley left La Roche College heading Pipestem, West
Virginia to attend the AITP Region 18 Leadership Retreat. The event took
place in November 19-21, 2004, at Pipestem Resort.

MySQL Seminar - New York City:
On September 14th, 2004 our chapter members attended the seminar called “How to
migrate to MySQL Server.”
Representatives from exciting companies such as Embarcadero
Technologies Inc., Sogeti and MySQL spoke about the significant
role of MySQL in data migration.

PNC Park Trip:
PNC Park tour is one of our chapter’s
favorites. This is where our chapter gets a chance to encounter a real
network infrastructure. Our tour host was Terry Zeigler, Director of
Information Technology of PNC Park – Pirates and meanwhile Vice
President of AITP Pittsburgh’s Chapter. (Details)

National
Robotics Engineering Consortium (NERC) Trip:
On Wednesday, March 17th, La Roche College
Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Chapter
organized a trip to the National Robotics Engineering Consortium (NREC).
Upon arrival at NREC, students of LRC were given a short presentation about the
history of robotics.

LRC-AITP LAB:
The La Roche College AITP lab provides hands on experience for the AITP
members. Our students and faculty members had the chance to help in
providing this lab with the equipments needed, they also helped in
painting and decorating the lab.
