Background:
AITP currently has approximately 2,500 student chapter members through a network
of 200 student chapters at colleges and universities throughout the U.S.A. and
Canada. The AITP student program, started in 1968, is designed for students
planning careers in information systems or related fields. Complete professional
development requires knowledge that goes beyond the classroom, especially with
technology changing so rapidly.
AITP
Mission:
AITP offers opportunities for Information Technology (IT) leadership and
education through partnerships with industry, government and academia. AITP
provides quality IT related education, information on relevant IT issues and
forums for networking with experienced peers and other IT professionals. Adopted
July, 2001.
What does this mission statement mean to La Roche computer minded students?
This organization gives you an opportunity to
mingle with other students from various computer majors. At La Roche, we intend
to create a “learning” environment for those students interested in pursuing a
career with computers. Although the sharing of knowledge is our priority, we
also intend to enjoy the time spent in various activities as a member of this
organization.
