The Summer Reading Program
The heart of the college experience is the exploration and exchange of ideas, which occurs both in the classroom and through involvement in the intellectual life outside the classroom. A common reading experience, followed by faculty-designed and facilitated workshops offers the entire campus, but, particularly incoming new students, an opportunity to:
- Engage in a common intellectual experience;
- Stimulate critical thinking and discussion;
- Experience the La Roche community of students, faculty and staff;
- Appreciate the benefits of co-curricular activities that enhance the classroom experience.
This year's book is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian.
